The Lord leads with unfailing love and faithfulness all who keep his covenants and obey his demands. Psalm 25:10
When I took John to work I still wasn’t doing well, but I was determined to walk with my friend and do my circle around 9th and Cherokee, the future home of Ebenezer Films.
In my mind I changed the old inscription on the New York Post Office building to, “Neither snow nor rain nor heat nor gloom of night, neither runny nose nor itchy watery eyesight will stay (me) from the swift completion of my appointed round around Ebenezer Films.”
So I walked and prayed as usual.
Now the people of Israel were told to walk around the city of Jericho seven times. I don’t know how many times I walk around Ebenezer Films. I walk until I feel the Lord tells me enough, and then I leave.
This morning, when I felt the Lord tell me, “enough” I also heard Him tell me to ride my bike home on the route that takes me by my friends’ house. I wasn’t sure why except that I might see our one of our friends.
I obeyed the prompting, took the route home and there was our friend, sitting on the steps that lead to his door. I laughed out loud.
I told him what was going on and what I believe for as well as how I felt the Lord was telling me to ride by their house.
He laughed and told me he didn’t normally sit outside to eat his breakfast.
This was a divine appointment if ever there was one!
And that’s the way the Lord is.
Now, I don’t know how encouraged my friend was, but I was very encouraged, and that’s just like the Lord. He leads with unfailing love and faithfulness, all who keep his covenants and obey his demands.
Thank you for your leading Lord!
