Black on a sea of white
Sometimes helps us see the Light
Other times we feel despair
From the blackness floating there.
Black on a sea of white
Helps us know what’s wrong and right
Teaching justice, mercy, and life
And guides us toward Eternal Light.
Black on a sea of white
Takes our minds on fantasy flight
From ancient times and days gone by
To the unknown voyage we’ve yet to try.
Black on a sea of white
Fingers that skate upon the keys
Thoughts unfolded and floating there
That waft like a leaf on the warm spring air.
Black on a sea of white
Can bring us joy or pain
Can take us on a fancy flight
And bring us home again.
