Enigma

God's Word is an Enigma.

It is beyond our understanding

It is beyond our understanding without the direction of the Holy Spirit, helping us understand the mysteries of it.

I love the mysteries of the Bible.

Psalm 116:15 is one of those verses that I never could understand, until the Holy Spirit helped me see it in a new way.

I used to wonder why God would think the death of those who love Him was precious. Then I realized I was looking at it from the earthly point of view.

When I turned my focus on the heavenly point of view, then I began to understand:

When one of His faithful servants dies, that faithful servant goes home victorious. That faithful servant has won his or her battle, and that faithful servant comes home to the Lord who gets to say, "Well done."

I imagine there's a huge party when one of the Lord's faithful servants gets to go home.

Now I understand!

"Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of His faithful servants." Proverbs 116:15
