Recently my husband and I joined a business venture that promises great things. In this venture the goal is to earn money while blogging. Admittedly, it’s an affiliate program, closely related to a MLM. John and I think it may be an answer to whether I work outside the home or am able to work at home and earn money with my writing while working on becoming a published author. It is a tool the Lord may use to bring about His purpose in our lives. This business venture is called Empower Network and is run by two Daves: Dave Wood and Dave Sharp.
Now, Dave Wood and Dave Sharp hope that the people involved in the Empower Network write about this business venture, but I want to write and focus on something else that has me more excited that any business venture and making any amount of money.
I am so excited about being a Christian this morning! God is so good; I can feel his presence everywhere right now. It's an amazing experience to know that God loves us through Jesus and guides me and John through his Holy Spirit.
There’s a song Rich Mullins sings. It’s a fast song, and sometimes it’s hard to keep up with what he’s singing and saying in the song. This morning I awoke with Alrightokayuhuhamen! in my head, loving the words, “You can argue with your Maker or learn the joy of saying yes to Him, say Alrightokayuhuhamen!”
Saying Yes to God opens up a sense of freedom in my life … oh how can I express the joy I have right now in my heart? I can’t. There are no words, but I pray that the Holy Spirit speaks to everyone who reads this so that each one can get a sense of what I cannot express in my own feeble words.
So let me try this again:
Saying yes to God, through Jesus and by the help of the Holy Spirit is phenomenal. God’s love is wild, and untamable. I feel like I'm on the edge of a cliff so high I can't see the ground beneath. I'm leaning out and the only thing that's keeping me from tumbling is the wind, which is the Hand of God. I know the Lord has some amazing plans for John and me and we're living those plans right now. We don't have to wait for a someday. It's happening now! Thank you Lord!
Now, many people might look at my life and yawn. All they see is an unemployed woman who doesn’t seem to understand the gravity of being unemployed. If my life was a sitcom, it would be cancelled in the first season. That’s the view some might have looking from the outside.
But….
My life is far from dull. I wake up with the Lord every morning, and like the old song says, “morning by morning new mercies I see/all I have needed Your hand has provided/great is thy faithfulness/Lord unto me…”
Nothing promises abundant life like God promises and follows through with his promise. All we have to do is say yes to Jesus from now until eternity and when it’s time to leave this earth, we don’t die… We GRADUATE!!
So here I am saying, “Alrightokuhuhamen!”
Won’t you join me?
