But there's something else:
I am also finding that things are trying to slip in and distract me from taking my daily walk. Oh it's little things like an over scheduled morning, or the rain or an appointment I'm supposed to keep later on in the morning. But no matter what tries to worm its way into my schedule to keep me from taking the walk around the church, I will walk. I will not let anything keep me from taking that walk. It might not be at the same time every day, and there may be a time when I miss it, but I'm going to continue to walk around that building even when the papers are signed and it's “mine.”
I hesitate to use the word “mine” as it applies to this building. In Psalm 24:1 David said, “The earth is the Lord’s, and everything in it. The world and all its people belong to him.” So nothing I have, not even my life, belongs to me. It's all the Lord's. And if it's all the Lord's and He will be glorified in my being the steward of this building, then how can I not know it will be accomplished in His Timing?
So, no matter what. I will walk.
I will be rewarded for this; my hope will not be dissapointed. Proverbs 23:18 personalized.
