And at the end you can watch his version:
From Life's Been Good by Joe Walsh
I have a mansion, built beyond price
I've never been there, He tells me it's nice.
God gives me strength to leap over walls
I seek to obey whenever He calls.
They call me crazy but He comes through each time
He is giving me ways and abundant life
God's been good to me so far.
I had a seizure in June of '14
I couldn't drive 'til 2015.
God's always with me when satan attacks.
I draw my sword, 'cause God's got my back.
We're making movies, though how we don't know
Only His hand will make this thing grow
So we're birthing a new thing called E.B. Productions
I know this work will turn into fun.
I'm not the same after all I've been through
The Lord's been cool (everybody say He's cool)
I can't complain when I'm in gratitude
God's been good to me so far….
My John and me we laugh through our lives
We often see the rolling of eyes.
We both are living our lives without chains
We're free to be who we are unrestrained
Some say this life is boring and tame
It's really beyond cool
They'll never know so they cannot be blamed.
God's been good to us so far
Oh yeah.....
"Up to this point the Lord has helped."
1 Samuel 7:12
Joe Walsh wrote a song called Life's Been Good. It has that element of absolutely crazy that I love, but I have to change the words a little. Christianity is filled with stories of taking secular songs and turning them into songs of praise to God, and this is meant to follow that tradition, and an effort is made to keep the crazy of Joe Walsh, so, with absolutely no need to apologize to Joe Walsh, here is my version of that song.
